Introduction to carriage bolts

Carriage bolts are divided into large half round head carriage bolts (corresponding to standards GB/T14 and DIN603) and small half round head carriage bolts (corresponding to standards GB/T12-85) according to their head size. Carriage bolt is a type of fastener consisting of a head and a screw (a cylindrical body with external threads), which needs to be matched with a nut and used to tighten and connect two parts with through holes. Carriage bolt refers to a round head square neck screw.

Basic information

Generally speaking, bolts are used to connect two objects, usually through light holes, and need to be used in conjunction with nuts. They do not serve as a single connection. Tools usually use a wrench. The head is mostly hexagonal and generally larger. Carriage bolts are used in grooves, and the square neck is stuck in the groove during installation to prevent the bolt from rotating. Carriage bolts can move parallel in the groove. Due to the circular shape of the head of the carriage bolt, there is no design of a cross groove or an internal hexagon that can be used as an auxiliary tool, and it can also play a role in preventing theft during the actual connection process.
